Memorial Day Weekend

After spending a week in Estes Park, Colorado, we spent a very relaxing weekend down at Table Rock Lake. We spent the long holiday weekend relaxing by the pool, eating breakfast at The Floating Cafe, and enjoying the nice weather. The condo that we stayed at on the lake is right next to an outdoor dance bar right on the water. We danced the night away to a live band that was a Jimmy Buffet inspired band that played rock music. Needless to say, we had an amazing time and we're not looking forward to going back to work. We're spending our last night of vacation at home grilling brats and enjoying the honeysuckle that are on full bloom in our back yard.

If only vacation days lasted as long as work days...

A New Journey

Over the last couple years, I've followed countless blogs. Blogs that provided crafty DIY tutorials, budget friendly decorating advice, and recipes that my husband has loved eating. Well, I decided to try my hand at blogging. I'm excited to start this new journey and this will be a fun way to document this very exciting time in my life. 

A little background about me: My name is Tori and I'm married to absolute love of my life, Garret. We will be sharing our 1 year wedding anniversary June 2nd and I can't believe how fast the last year has flown by! We live in Southwest Missouri in a cute 1950's house with our 2 dogs and little 5 week old kitten. Our dream one day would be to live in a cabin in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. But for now, we are both full time college students and full time workers.

My plan for this blog is to share my personal DIY projects which are very budget friendly and are easy and fun to make. I'm also going to share food ideas, decorating ideas, and lifestyle tips for living a healthy and fun life. My husband and I are always doing something active outdoors whether it be fishing, hiking, kayaking, or exploring the beauty the Ozarks has to offer. 

The idea behind my blog title, Blue Clear Sky, is inspired by George Strait's famous song. It teaches us to be open minded to whatever life throws our way. Enjoy!
